Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer (cancer of the colon or rectum) that has spread to other parts of the body and cannot be removed by surgery, confirmed through a tissue biopsy.
- People whose cancer has come back or continued to grow after receiving at least one round of treatment for advanced/spread disease.
- People whose cancer can be clearly measured using standard imaging criteria (RECIST version 1.1).
- (FOLFOX treatment group only) People who have had no more than mild nerve-related side effects (such as tingling or numbness) from previous chemotherapy.
- (FOLFIRI treatment group only) People whose cancer was confirmed to have progressed while receiving FOLFIRI chemotherapy (with or without targeted therapy) within the 3 months before joining the study. Any cancer treatment received after that progression must have been stopped at least 7 days before joining. Radiotherapy is not permitted in this period.
- People who are generally well enough to carry out light daily activities, rated 0 or 1 on a standard health scale used in cancer trials (ECOG scale).
- People whose blood counts, liver, kidneys, lungs, and heart are all functioning at adequate levels.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have, or have had, cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord.
- People who have received any non-cancer experimental treatment within 3 weeks before the planned first dose of the study treatment (CYAD-101).
- People who have received certain white blood cell-boosting medications (such as Filgrastim/G-CSF) within 7 days before the planned first dose of the study treatment.
- People who have previously received an allogeneic stem cell transplant (a transplant using cells from another person), CAR-T cell therapy, or any other genetically modified T-cell therapy.
