Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 75 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (a type of pancreatic cancer), either confirmed through a tissue sample or diagnosed by a specialist medical team without a tissue sample
- People whose medical team has determined they are suitable for either a keyhole (laparoscopic) or open surgical procedure to remove part of the pancreas

Who may not be able to join:

- People who need a different type of pancreas surgery (such as removal of the left, central, or whole pancreas) or surgery that is only intended to manage symptoms rather than cure the disease
- People whose overall fitness for surgery is rated at a high-risk level (ASA score of 4 or above) by an anaesthetics assessment (confirm with trial site)
- People who have had another type of cancer in the past
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People living with serious mental health conditions
- People who have already received pre-surgery treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy for this cancer
- People whose cancer has grown into nearby blood vessels and where the surgical team has determined those blood vessels would also need to be removed
- People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) above 35 (a measure of body weight relative to height)
- People who are currently participating in, or have participated in, another clinical trial within the past 3 months
