  • Children who are between 10 and 17 years old
  • Children who speak and understand English fluently
  • Children who have been diagnosed with a condition called CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) and are receiving inpatient treatment at the FIRST clinic at CCHMC, having already tried other treatments without success
  • Children who have been diagnosed with CRPS and are scheduled for or starting outpatient treatment at a pain management clinic
  • Healthy children with no diagnosis of long-term (chronic) pain may also be eligible to take part
  • Parents are also invited to participate, as long as they speak English fluently and their child is taking part in the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • Children who have been found to have brain, neurological, or serious mental health conditions that go beyond what is typically seen with chronic pain
