Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with a condition called IgM monoclonal gammopathy, have specific antibodies (called anti-MAG antibodies) in their blood, and have nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) linked to this condition
- People aged 18 years or older who are being seen and followed in the neuromuscular department in Lyon
- People who have given their informed consent to take part in the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have other conditions that could affect nerve function or physical ability, such as diabetes, kidney problems, a history of chemotherapy for conditions other than IgM-related nerve disease, inherited nerve conditions, vitamin deficiencies, connective tissue disorders, Hepatitis B or C, HIV, or alcohol use above a certain level (more than 5 units per day)
- People who have an active, serious cancer (other than the monoclonal gammopathy) that is currently being treated
- People who are pregnant
- People who are taking any medication that may affect how the nerves work (confirm with trial site for specific medications)
