  • People who have other conditions that could affect nerve function or physical ability, such as diabetes, kidney problems, a history of chemotherapy for conditions other than IgM-related nerve disease, inherited nerve conditions, vitamin deficiencies, connective tissue disorders, Hepatitis B or C, HIV, or alcohol use above a certain level (more than 5 units per day)
  • People who have an active, serious cancer (other than the monoclonal gammopathy) that is currently being treated
  • People who are pregnant
  • People who are taking any medication that may affect how the nerves work (confirm with trial site for specific medications)
