Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are older than 18 years old
- People who have signed a consent form agreeing to take part
- People diagnosed with colon cancer that has not spread (non-metastatic) and can be operated on straight away, or people whose colon cancer has spread to the liver at the same time and where a medical team has decided that both the colon and liver can be treated in one combined surgery

- People who are registered with and covered by social security or an equivalent scheme
Who may not be able to join:
- People with rectal cancer, or whose colon cancer has come back after previous treatment
- People who need emergency surgery for their colon cancer
- People with a history of inflammatory bowel conditions such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis
- People who received treatments before surgery other than chemotherapy (for example, radiation therapy)
- People who have been treated with immune-suppressing medications or long-term steroid medications within the last 12 months
- People who are pregnant, likely to be pregnant without using effective contraception, or currently breastfeeding
- People in urgent or crisis situations, people under a legal protection order, or people who are unable to give their own consent to participate
- People for whom attending and completing the trial's medical examinations would not be possible due to geographical, social, or psychological reasons
