Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 60 years of age or older (all groups)
- People who have a confirmed diagnosis of a relapsed or treatment-resistant blood cancer or plasma cell disorder (such as lymphoma or myeloma) and are receiving a commercially approved CAR T-cell therapy (all groups)
- People who are able to speak and understand English (groups 1 and 4 only)
- People who score below 26 out of 30 on a cognitive assessment called the MoCA, as assessed by a geriatrician before CAR T-cell treatment begins (group 4 only)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously received any CAR T-cell therapy, whether as part of a trial or as a standard treatment (all groups)
- People with a current diagnosis of a major psychiatric condition such as major depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia, based on medical records or personal report (group 1 only)
- People with a history of a neurological condition, a neurodegenerative disease, or a serious brain injury involving loss of consciousness lasting more than 60 minutes, based on medical records or personal report (group 1 only)
- People with a current or past history of substance abuse, based on medical records or personal report (group 1 only)
- People with a history of disease affecting the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) (group 4 only)
