Who might be able to join this trial:
- Infants who have had at least 2 regurgitation (spitting up) episodes per day over the past 2 weeks, and at least 4 regurgitation episodes per day on average over the last 2 days
- Infants who are fed exclusively or mostly with formula (not breastfed, or mostly formula-fed)
- Infants whose parents or guardians have signed a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- Infants who were born prematurely or who weighed less than 2,500 grams (about 5.5 pounds) at birth
- Infants who have developed lactose intolerance following a gut infection
- Infants with a suspected or confirmed cow's milk protein allergy that requires a diet avoiding cow's milk products
- Infants who are currently taking medications that could affect spitting up or digestion — such as alginates, laxatives, or antibiotics — unless those medications have been stopped at least 7 days before the first trial visit
- Infants who have any other condition that the trial doctor believes could affect their participation or put them at risk (confirm with trial site)
