AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Adults who have diabetes and a foot ulcer or open wound on the foot or lower leg, located below the ankle bone, caused by complications of diabetes, and measuring at least 5 mm across.
  • People who had an amputation before joining the trial — in that case, the amputation site (stump) would be treated as the main wound being studied, not the original wound that led to the amputation.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have reduced blood flow to the lower leg or foot but do not have an open skin wound.
  • People who have a foot infection but do not have an open skin wound.
  • People who have another illness or condition that would prevent safe participation in an observational study (confirm with trial site).
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • People who are under a legal protection arrangement such as curatorship or guardianship.
  • People who are currently in prison.
  • People who are already taking part in more than one other clinical study at the same time (the trial site allows participation in a maximum of two studies total, including this one).
