Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 60 years of age or older, or people who are 50 years of age or older and have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome or spinal stenosis
- People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of heart failure called HFpEF (heart failure with preserved ejection fraction), either previously or recently, with heart failure symptoms ranging from mild to severe
- People where more than half of those enrolled have a thickened heart wall measurement of 12mm or more at the time of diagnosis (confirm with trial site)
- People who are able and willing to provide written consent to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are not willing to take part in the trial
- People who have unstable coronary artery disease (an ongoing problem with blood supply to the heart) or who are planning to have a procedure to treat blocked heart arteries within the coming months
- People who have a history of a different type of heart failure, known as HFrEF, where the heart's pumping function was measured at less than 40%
