Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 70 years old
- You are able to walk at least 20 meters (about 65 feet) without any walking aid or support
- You are able to read, understand, and willingly sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- You are able to understand simple instructions and complete a basic movement task
- You have at least some useful vision (better than 10/20, which is roughly half of normal vision) in your weaker eye, with glasses or contact lenses if needed
- You have weakness or movement difficulties affecting one leg or foot caused by a condition such as stroke, Parkinson's disease (affecting one side more than the other), multiple sclerosis (affecting one side more than the other), a single-limb amputation with a prosthetic limb, a previous orthopaedic surgery, or a one-sided nerve injury (this list is not exhaustive — confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a neurological condition that affects your whole body or both sides equally (confirm with trial site)
- You have had orthopaedic surgery for a reason other than the condition that would qualify you for the trial
- You have a painful or symptomatic spine or back condition
- You have any other sensory or neurological condition that affects your balance or the way you walk
- You are pregnant
