Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with one of the following: low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasm, pseudomyxoma peritonei, appendiceal cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen, or colorectal cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen
  • People whose general health and ability to perform daily activities meets a minimum threshold (ECOG performance status below 3 — confirm with trial site)
  • People whose cancer is considered suitable for surgery aimed at removing all visible disease
  • People with a life expectancy of more than 3 months
  • People whose heart, liver, kidneys, and bone marrow are functioning well enough to safely participate

  • People who have lung metastases (cancer spread to the lungs) that have not been treated

  • People who have cancer that has spread to the brain
  • People who have received chemotherapy or radiation therapy within the 4 weeks before entering the study
  • People who still have significant ongoing side effects from previous cancer treatment
  • People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial involving an investigational treatment
  • People with a known allergy to Mitomycin C or to drugs with a similar chemical or biological makeup
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who have a serious illness that is not currently under control
