Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with a condition called CIDP (a nerve disorder) — either a possible, probable, or confirmed diagnosis, including typical or less common forms.
  • You have had CIDP for 3 years or less.
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have previously been treated with a steroid medication called methyl-prednisolone, and either it did not work well enough, you cannot take it for medical reasons, or it caused significant side effects — as decided by your doctor.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You currently have signs of an active infection, such as a high inflammation marker in your blood (CRP above 20 mg/l) or a certain type of urinary tract infection detected by a urine test.
  • You have taken a type of blood pressure medication called an ACE inhibitor within 1 week before the first treatment.
  • You have a condition called immunoglobulin A (IgA) deficiency, which means your body does not produce enough of a certain type of antibody.
  • You have any other medical reason why you cannot safely receive the two treatments used in this trial (a blood-filtering procedure called immunoadsorption, or an intravenous immunoglobulin infusion) (confirm with trial site).
