Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 55 years old
- People who have been formally assessed as having moderate to severe cannabis use disorder, based on recognised diagnostic criteria
- People who have been formally assessed as having Major Depressive Disorder, based on recognised diagnostic criteria
- People who are not currently staying in hospital and have been taking the same antidepressant medication at the same dose for at least three months
- People whose depression symptom score falls within a specific moderate range on a standard rating scale called the HDRS-17 at the start of the study (confirm with trial site for exact score details)
- People whose general intellectual ability scores at 80 or above, as measured by a specific standardised test called the WTAR
- People who are using cannabis but are not currently looking for help or treatment to stop
- People who show sufficient motivation and effort on a specific memory test called the TOMM, with a score of 45 or higher
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had a diagnosed problem with alcohol or other illegal substances (other than cannabis, nicotine, or caffeine) within the past six months
- People whose urine test at screening shows substances other than cannabis, nicotine, or caffeine
- People who are currently having thoughts of harming themselves or others
- People who have been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder, such as schizoaffective disorder or depression with psychotic features
- People who are actively seeking treatment or help for their cannabis use
- People who have been formally assessed as having Bipolar Disorder
- People who have had a head injury that caused loss of consciousness for more than five minutes
- People whose depression symptom score on the HDRS-17 falls outside the required range described in the inclusion criteria
