Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have cancer and are about to start their first chemotherapy cycle, with no signs of nerve damage at the time of their initial nerve assessment (the trial aims to enrol at least 75 people in this group)
• People who have cancer and have already finished chemotherapy (at least 2 months ago) and are living with a stable nerve-related side effect from that treatment, confirmed by a nerve assessment (the trial aims to enrol at least 75 people in this group)
• People aged 18 or older, of any gender
• People who are willing to sign a consent form before the study begins
• People who are willing to attend all required visits and complete all study activities
• People whose general health and ability to carry out daily activities meets a minimum level, as measured by a standard health scoring tool called the Karnofsky performance scale (a score of 70 or above is required — confirm with trial site for details)

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have a neurological condition at the same time, such as a brain tumour or cancer that has spread to the brain or spine, that could affect how nerve assessments are interpreted
• People with severe depression that, in the opinion of the study doctor, could interfere with how assessments are carried out or interpreted
• People currently taking medications — other than chemotherapy drugs — that are known to cause nerve damage (examples include metronidazole, isoniazid, amiodarone, or antiretroviral medications)
• People who have another medical condition known to cause nerve damage, such as diabetes
• People who have any other condition that, in the study doctor's judgement, could make it difficult to collect reliable data for the study's goals
