- People whose MRI scan shows the tumor has grown into nearby organs, or that more than three nearby lymph nodes are affected
- People who have previously had radiation treatment to the pelvic area
- People who already have nerve damage or nerve-related symptoms (neuropathy) before the trial begins
- People who are currently receiving other cancer treatments, whether medication or other methods
- People who have another serious, uncontrolled illness that is life-threatening
