Who might be able to join this trial:
Group I (no strong family history of pancreatic cancer):
- People who have a documented harmful or likely harmful genetic mutation in one of these genes: BRCA1, BRCA2, ATM, or PALB2
- People who do not have a close family history of pancreatic cancer — meaning no first-degree relatives (such as a parent or sibling) or second-degree relatives (such as an aunt, uncle, or grandparent) have had pancreatic cancer
- People aged 50 or older at the time of joining the study
Group II (with a strong family history of pancreatic cancer):
- People who have a documented harmful or likely harmful genetic mutation in one of these genes: BRCA1, BRCA2, ATM, or PALB2
- People who have at least one first-degree or second-degree relative who has had pancreatic cancer
- People aged 18 or older at the time of joining the study
All participants:
- People who are able to give informed consent and are willing and able to follow the study procedures
- People who can read and speak English
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously had, or currently have, pancreatic cancer
- People who are currently pregnant, as the effects of MRI scans on a developing baby are not yet fully known
