Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are reasonably physically functional in daily life, as assessed by a standard medical scale (called ECOG), with a score of 2 or lower, measured within 30 days before joining the trial
- People who have been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, as defined by international medical guidelines (IMWG)
- People who fall into any stage of multiple myeloma under a standard staging system called R-ISS (stages 1, 2, or 3)
- People who have completed at least 2 years of maintenance therapy after receiving an autologous stem cell transplant (a procedure using the patient's own stem cells), regardless of how many other treatments were received beforehand
- People whose maintenance therapy after the stem cell transplant included any anti-myeloma treatment — such as lenalidomide, bortezomib, or similar drugs — used to prevent the disease from returning
- People whose disease is responding well to treatment at the time of joining, specifically at a level called VGPR (very good partial response) or CR (complete response), as defined by international guidelines
- People, or their legally appointed representative, who are able to understand and willingly sign a consent form, and who agree to follow the trial schedule, with the understanding that withdrawal from the trial is possible at any time without affecting future medical care
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have plasma cell leukemia, AL amyloidosis, or a condition called POEMS syndrome (a rare disorder affecting multiple body systems)
- People who have previously had an organ transplant or who have a condition that requires them to take medication that suppresses the immune system
- People who have previously received an allogeneic stem cell transplant (a transplant using stem cells from a donor, rather than the patient's own cells)
- People who have taken part in another clinical trial or received an experimental drug within 30 days before joining this trial
- People who are unable to sign an informed consent form and do not have a legally appointed representative who can do so on their behalf
