Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have given their signed consent to participate
- People who have been confirmed through tissue testing to have pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (a type of pancreatic cancer) and are planned to start standard first-line treatment, OR people suspected of having locally advanced pancreatic cancer (that has not spread to other parts of the body) based on scan results and who are already scheduled for a standard diagnostic procedure called EUS-FNB (a type of guided biopsy using an ultrasound scope)
- People aged 18 years or older
- People with a life expectancy of more than 3 months
- People who are generally well enough to carry out daily activities with little or no limitation, based on a standard medical performance scale (confirm with trial site)
- People whose blood and organ function results fall within acceptable ranges, including healthy levels of white blood cells, platelets, liver function markers, blood clotting function, and kidney function (confirm with trial site for specific values)
Who may not be able to join:
- People for whom sedation using a medication called propofol, administered by a nurse, is not medically appropriate
- People for whom the EUS-FNB diagnostic procedure is not medically appropriate
