Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have a good enough understanding of Dutch or English to participate
- People who are able to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- People who have been diagnosed with peripheral polyneuropathy (nerve damage affecting the hands and/or feet)
- People who have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
- People who have at least one claw toe or hammer toe (toes that are bent or curled out of their normal position)
- People who have a recorded history of diabetic foot ulcers (open sores caused by diabetes) located under the tip of a toe within the last 5 years
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have not provided written agreement to take part in the trial
- People who do not meet the inclusion criteria listed above
- People who currently have open sores or ulcers on their toes
- People who have previously taken part in this study
- People who are pregnant
- People who are currently taking part in another study that involves exposure to X-rays
