Who might be able to join this trial:

• People whose resting heart rate is faster than 120 beats per minute
• People who have a heart condition called atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat)

• People who have an overactive or underactive thyroid gland
• People who have a rare adrenal gland tumour called pheochromocytoma
• People who have Raynaud's disease (a condition affecting blood flow to the fingers and toes)
• People who experience trembling or shivering
• People where blood pressure readings differ significantly between the two arms — more than 15 mmHg for the upper number or more than 10 mmHg for the lower number (confirm with trial site)
• People who have paralysis in either arm
• Women who are known to be pregnant (for one part of the trial only — confirm with trial site)
• People who have an arteriovenous fistula (a connection between an artery and vein, often created for dialysis)
• People who have had an arm amputation
• People whose upper arm measurement is smaller than 22 cm or larger than 42 cm
• People whose wrist measurement is larger than 21 cm

• People who have lymphoedema (swelling caused by a build-up of fluid in the body's tissues)
