Who might be able to join this trial:
- Be between 6 and 18 years old
- Have blood pressure that is elevated, but not quite at the highest stage of high blood pressure (called Stage 2 hypertension) — your doctor can check where your readings fall (confirm with trial site)
- Be able to wear a blood pressure monitor for 24 hours straight (a device that takes readings throughout the day and night)
- Be able to take blood pressure readings at home

Who may not be able to join:
- Currently taking medication to lower blood pressure, or having been treated for high blood pressure in the last 6 months
- Currently pregnant
- Have a structural heart problem, such as a narrowing of a heart valve, a narrowing of the main artery from the heart (aorta), or a disease of the heart muscle
- Have certain other underlying causes of high blood pressure, such as narrowing of the arteries to the kidneys, or a neurological condition that affects how the body controls blood pressure automatically (confirm with trial site)
- Have recently started taking medications known to affect blood pressure, such as steroids, certain immune-suppressing drugs, or decongestants
