Who may not be able to join:

  • People under 18 years of age
  • People with a psychiatric illness or personal circumstances that would make it difficult to follow the study requirements
  • People who are unable to complete the questionnaires and measurement scales used in the study
  • People who are medically unstable or have a severe illness that is not under control
  • People with cancer that is not under control and requires chemotherapy
  • People with a life expectancy of less than 6 months
  • People who have a medical reason preventing them from attending scheduled treatments, or who are otherwise unable to attend
  • People with a known allergy to ozone
  • People who are pregnant at the time of enrolment (specifically for systemic ozone therapy)
  • People with a condition called haemochromatosis (a disorder involving excess iron in the body) (specifically for systemic ozone therapy)
  • People with a significant, known deficiency of an enzyme called glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase — this includes conditions known as favism or acute haemolytic anaemia (specifically for systemic ozone therapy)
  • People who do not meet all of the inclusion criteria listed above
