Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have had Type 1 diabetes for more than 12 months
- People between 18 and 65 years old
- People whose most recent HbA1c blood sugar reading (a 3-month average of blood sugar levels) falls between 6.5% and 9%
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have Type 2 diabetes, or any other form of diabetes other than Type 1
- People who have a diagnosed condition called gastroparesis, which is a condition where the stomach empties food more slowly than normal
- People who have had a major heart or stroke-related event (such as a heart attack, stroke, or major artery procedure) within the last 6 months
- People who have had a severe low blood sugar episode within the last 12 weeks (a level below 2.8 mmol/L, or an episode requiring help from another person)
- People who have changed their insulin type or the way they take insulin within the last 12 weeks
- People who are currently using an automated insulin delivery system (a device that automatically adjusts insulin based on blood sugar readings)
- People with a history of severe brain injury, epilepsy, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder
- People who are unable to use a computer
- People with uncorrected vision or hearing problems
