Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults over 18 years old who have been diagnosed with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (a type of pancreatic cancer), either confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy) or by imaging scans such as CT, MRI, or PET, and have not yet received any treatment for it
- People whose cancer is located in one area and who are expected to have surgery to remove it after first receiving pre-surgery treatment
- People who are reasonably healthy and able to carry out daily activities, ranging from fully active to capable of self-care but unable to work (confirm with trial site)
- People who are able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a known allergy or sensitivity to any of the ingredients in the imaging agent used in this trial (called 68Ga-FAPI-46)
- People who need emergency surgery
- People whose biopsy shows a different type of cancer, not pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
- People whose pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma has been confirmed by tissue testing to have spread to other parts of the body
- Women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
