Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder (a form of clinical depression) according to standard diagnostic guidelines (DSM-V)
- People who are between 15 and 17.5 years old
- People who have a good enough understanding of Swedish to read questionnaire instructions without needing an interpreter
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently experiencing psychosis (a condition where a person loses touch with reality)
- People who have a current drug or alcohol addiction
- People who have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder
- People where there is a suspicion of intellectual disability
- People who are considered at acute (immediate) risk of suicide, or whose depression is severe enough to require hospital care
- People who have started antidepressant medication within the past six weeks — the trial site may require waiting until the effects of the medication have had time to stabilise before participation is considered
