Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with MGUS (Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance) or SMM (Smoldering Multiple Myeloma).

- People who already follow a whole foods, plant-based diet (note: ovo-lacto-vegetarian diets or processed vegan diets do not disqualify someone).
- People who have an allergy to legumes (such as beans, lentils, or chickpeas).
- People who have a severe allergy to certain nuts, specifically cashews, such as a history of anaphylactic shock.
- People who are currently taking part in a weight loss, dietary, or exercise program.
- People whose mental health would prevent them from being able to participate fully in the study.
- People who are currently enrolled in, or have been enrolled in, another investigational treatment study within the past 180 days.
- People who are currently pregnant.
- People who test positive for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV, unless the infection has been treated and the virus is no longer detectable in the blood.
- People who have certain abnormal electrolyte (blood salt) levels that have not yet been corrected (confirm with trial site).
- People where the trial doctor has concerns about their ability to safely complete the study or where there may be other medical reasons making participation unsuitable.
- People who drink heavily, defined as more than 2 alcoholic drinks per day or more than 14 per week.
- People who currently use illicit drugs such as heroin or cocaine (marijuana does not disqualify someone).
- People who have plans for extended travel during the study that would make it difficult to follow the required diet.
- People who have had major gastrointestinal surgery within the past 3 months (removal of the appendix or gallbladder does not disqualify someone).
- People who are currently taking curcumin or omega-3 supplements and are not willing to stop taking them from the time of signing the trial consent form.
