Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes (an autoimmune condition where the body attacks the cells that make insulin) for at least one year, confirmed through blood sugar tests, medical records, or a doctor's assessment
- Adults aged 18 to 89 years old
- People whose LDL cholesterol level (often called "bad cholesterol") is above 100 mg/dL

- People who have been hospitalised for any reason within the past 30 days
- People currently taking medications that suppress the immune system
- People currently taking any blood-thinning medications
- People currently taking aspirin
- People who have taken anti-inflammatory pain relief medications (such as ibuprofen) within the past 72 hours
- People who are pregnant
- People with low red blood cell levels (anaemia), or abnormal platelet counts — either too low or too high (confirm with trial site for exact thresholds)
- People with a history of a bleeding disorder
- People with significantly reduced kidney function (confirm with trial site)
- People with Type 2 diabetes, rare inherited forms of diabetes, or diabetes caused by pancreatic conditions such as pancreatitis, pancreatic surgery, or cystic fibrosis
