Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been diagnosed with a specific type of pleural mesothelioma (a cancer of the lining of the lungs) that is classified as "sarcomatoid" or mostly sarcomatoid (more than 50% biphasic type).
• Your cancer is at an early to moderate stage (Stage I to IIIA) based on standard medical staging guidelines.
• Your cancer can be measured or detected on scans, or meets other defined criteria for being trackable.
• You have not had any previous treatment for this cancer that could affect the study results.
• You have not received hormones or chemotherapy for this cancer (hormones taken for unrelated conditions like diabetes or thyroid issues are generally acceptable).
• You are not pregnant and not breastfeeding; women who could become pregnant must have a negative pregnancy test within 14 days before joining.
• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You are generally able to carry out basic daily activities and are not severely limited by your illness (confirm with trial site for exact fitness level required).
• Your blood counts are at an acceptable level, including white blood cells, infection-fighting cells (neutrophils), and platelets (confirm with trial site for specific numbers).

• Your cancer has spread to nearby structures such as the chest wall, the lining of the abdomen, the other lung lining, major structures in the chest, the spine, lymph nodes on the opposite side of the chest, or lymph nodes near the collarbone.
• You have a history of a serious inflammatory lung disease that caused symptoms.
