Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease according to the standards set by the Movement Disorder Society.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have clear signs of problems with a part of the brain called the cerebellum, such as a cerebellar-related walking difficulty, poor limb coordination, or certain abnormal eye movements (confirm with trial site)
• People who have difficulty moving their eyes in a downward direction, or whose downward eye movements are noticeably slower than normal
• People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of dementia affecting behaviour, or a condition causing progressive loss of language ability, within the first 5 years of their illness
• People whose Parkinson's-like symptoms have only ever affected the lower half of their body for more than 3 years
• People who are taking medication that blocks or reduces dopamine in a way that could itself be causing their Parkinson's-like symptoms
• People whose symptoms have not responded at all to high doses of a medication called levodopa, despite having a moderate or more severe level of disease
• People who have clear loss of certain types of touch or sensation, difficulty performing purposeful movements with their limbs, or progressive loss of language ability
• People whose brain imaging shows normal results for the dopamine system in a specific area of the brain (confirm with trial site)
• People whose symptoms are more likely explained by a different condition than Parkinson's disease, based on medical records or expert medical assessment
