For young people:

  • You are between 12 and 18 years old and can speak English.
  • You are currently experiencing depression or have had thoughts of suicide recently, based on responses to a standard questionnaire screening tool.

For parents/caregivers:

  • You are at least 18 years old and can speak English.
  • Your child is willing to take part in the study.
  • You are the biological parent, adoptive parent, or have legal court documentation showing you are the young person's guardian.

Who may not be able to join:

For young people:

  • You are currently experiencing a manic or psychotic episode.
  • You have a life-threatening medical condition that needs immediate treatment.
  • You have an intellectual or developmental disability that would make it difficult to understand and follow the study procedures (confirm with trial site).
  • You do not have access to a phone or tablet, as these are needed to take part in the program.

For parents/caregivers:

  • You are not the biological parent or a court-appointed legal guardian of the young person in the study.
