For People with Parkinson's Disease
Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are willing and able to sign a written consent form
- People diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (the type with no known specific cause) according to Movement Disorders Society guidelines
- People aged between 31 and 75 years old
- People who are being treated with or without a specific type of brain stimulation device (deep brain stimulation in a region called the subthalamic nucleus), or who have no such device
- People who speak German or French fluently

- People whose speech difficulties are caused by a condition other than Parkinson's disease, such as a stroke or a muscle weakness condition
- People who have been clinically diagnosed with aphasia (a condition affecting the ability to speak or understand language)
- People who have a brain condition other than Parkinson's disease, such as Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, or similar conditions
- People who show signs of significant cognitive (thinking and memory) difficulties, based on a standard assessment scoring below 24 out of 30
- People who are currently experiencing depression with active thoughts of suicide
For Healthy Volunteers (Control Group)
Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are willing and able to sign a written consent form
- Adults aged between 50 and 70 years old
- People who speak German or French fluently
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease
- People who show signs of significant cognitive (thinking and memory) difficulties, based on a standard assessment scoring below 24 out of 30
- People who have a brain condition such as Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, or similar conditions
- People who have been clinically diagnosed with aphasia, speech difficulties (dysarthria), or stuttering
- People who have been diagnosed with a psychiatric illness as defined by standard diagnostic guidelines (DSM-V) (confirm with trial site)
