Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer through a tissue sample (biopsy), where the tumour is either on the borderline of being removable by surgery, or has grown into nearby areas but has not spread to distant parts of the body.
- People for whom doctors have planned treatment aimed at shrinking the tumour enough to make surgery possible.
- People of any gender aged 18 years or older.
- People with a general health and activity level rated at 2 or below on a standard medical scale, meaning they are able to care for themselves even if they cannot do heavy physical work (confirm with trial site).
- People whose doctors expect them to live for at least 3 months or more.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose pancreatic cancer is a type other than ductal adenocarcinoma (the most common type of pancreatic cancer).
- People who have already received any cancer-fighting drug treatment before starting their first round of chemotherapy for this cancer.
- People who passed away or could not be contacted for follow-up within one month of starting their first chemotherapy treatment.
- People who have another separate primary cancer diagnosis at the same time.
