- Women who are pregnant, in labour, or breastfeeding
- People who are under a legal protection order, or whose legal decision-making capacity is managed by a court or guardian
- People who are currently receiving psychiatric care, or who are living in a health or social care facility for reasons unrelated to research
- People under 18 years of age
- People who are unable to give their own informed consent to participate
- People who are already taking part in another research study involving balance and/or walking
