Who might be able to join this trial:

• The child must be between 5 and 12 years old.
• The child must have been diagnosed with diabetes within the last 3 months.

Who may not be able to join:

• Children whose dietary needs or habits do not fit with the study's meal plans — for example, if the child follows a vegan, ketogenic (very low carb), or similar diet, or has major food allergies or intolerances.
• Children who have been assessed as having an eating disorder using a specific screening tool used in this study (confirm with trial site).
• Children who have another serious medical condition or take medications (other than insulin) that could affect their blood sugar or metabolism.
• Children who have a major psychiatric (mental health) illness.
