Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women who have been diagnosed with stage I, II, or III rectal cancer or cancer at the junction of the rectum and sigmoid colon
- The cancer's surgical join (anastomosis) must be located less than 15 cm from the anal opening
- People who have had surgery to remove the cancer, with or without prior radiation and chemotherapy, where the bowel was reconnected (continuity restored)
- People aged 18 or older
- People who are able to communicate in French or English
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently pregnant
- People who have significant cognitive or psychiatric conditions (confirm with trial site)
