Who might be able to join this trial:
Healthy volunteers (young and older adults):
- You are between 20–50 or 60–90 years old
- Your memory and thinking are considered healthy, based on a standard cognitive test score of 26 or above
- You do not have any significant brain or nerve conditions
People with early-stage (prodromal) Alzheimer's Disease:
- You have noticed memory or thinking concerns yourself, and someone who knows you well agrees
- Testing has shown a measurable problem with your ability to recall recent events or information
- Your condition has been rated as very mild on a standard clinical scale (CDR = 0.5)
- Your score on a standard cognitive test is above 23
- You are still able to manage your everyday activities independently
People with Parkinson's Disease:
- You have been recently diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease
- Your Parkinson's symptoms are rated as mild to moderate on a standard medical scale
- Your memory and thinking are considered healthy based on a standard cognitive test score of 26 or above
- If you take medication for Parkinson's, your dose has been stable for at least 6 months
People with Multiple Sclerosis:
- You have been recently diagnosed with the relapsing-remitting type of Multiple Sclerosis
- Your level of disability is rated 4.0 or below on a standard scale (confirm with trial site)
- Your memory and thinking are considered healthy based on a standard cognitive test score of 26 or above
- If you take medication for Multiple Sclerosis, your dose has been stable for at least 6 months
Who may not be able to join:
- You cannot have an MRI scan due to metal implants in your body, a pacemaker, or severe claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
- You have serious other health conditions alongside the condition being studied
- You have taken antibiotics at any point in the last 3 months
