Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are 18 years of age or older
  • People who are willing and able to give informed consent to participate

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are pregnant
  • People with a BMI over 45
  • People who have a known allergy to any components of surgical mesh
  • People who are having a hiatal hernia repair at the same time as a weight-loss stomach surgery (such as a sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, duodenal switch, or partial or total stomach removal)
  • People who have previously had a hiatal hernia repair surgery
