Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at a mild to moderate stage, but are still able to stand and walk without any walking aid or wheelchair.
- In your daily life, you do less physical exercise than generally recommended — meaning less than 3 sessions of vigorous exercise per week (20 minutes each), or less than 5 sessions of moderate exercise per week (30 minutes each).
- You have had at least one fall and at least one episode of "freezing" (where your feet feel stuck to the ground) in the past year.
- You are either on a stable dose of Parkinson's medication that has not changed for at least one month, or you are not yet on medication and are not expected to start within the next 3 months.
- You are an adult of any age — there is no upper age limit for this trial.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have severe movement problems in your legs, or you need a walking aid or wheelchair to get around.
- You have previously been diagnosed with a stroke or dementia.
- You have any metal implants in your head, such as a deep brain stimulator or aneurysm clips.
- You have any other medical, mental health, or physical condition that may affect your balance (confirm with trial site).
- You currently take beta-blocker medications or antipsychotic medications.
- You have other neurological, bone/joint, or heart conditions that would make it unsafe for you to exercise, or that affect your balance or thinking abilities.
- You have been diagnosed with a psychiatric illness by a psychiatrist within the past year.
- You have been diagnosed with dementia.
- You are unable to tolerate or take part in the exercise video game (exergame) task used in this trial (confirm with trial site).
