Who may be able to join

AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who had a previous single-baby pregnancy that ended in a serious complication — such as early birth before 37 weeks, a baby born smaller than expected (below the 10th percentile for weight), severe preeclampsia, or a pregnancy loss after 20 weeks — as confirmed by an obstetrician
  • People whose placenta from that previous complicated pregnancy showed a specific type of damage (called maternal vascular malperfusion), as confirmed by a specialist placenta pathologist
  • People who are currently pregnant with one baby and are less than 16 weeks and 6 days along in the pregnancy

Who may not be able to join:

  • People for whom blood-thinning medication (such as warfarin, enoxaparin, or heparin) is already planned during the current pregnancy
  • People whose current baby has been found to have a significant birth defect
  • People who have a medical reason why the blood-thinning drug enoxaparin would not be safe for them — for example, active serious bleeding, a low platelet count (below 100), or a known allergy to enoxaparin, heparin, or pork-derived products, or to benzyl alcohol
  • People with chronic kidney disease where kidney function is significantly reduced (eGFR below 60) (confirm with trial site)
  • People with known ongoing liver disease where certain liver enzyme levels are more than three times higher than normal
  • People who have an artificial (mechanical) heart valve
