Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have had, or currently have, another type of cancer within the past 5 years
  • People who have a known allergy or sensitivity to any of the medicines used in this trial
  • People who have a weakened immune system, whether from birth or due to a condition such as HIV infection
  • People who have an active or suspected autoimmune disease (such as lung inflammation, eye inflammation, bowel inflammation, liver inflammation, joint disease, kidney inflammation, or thyroid problems, among others); people with vitiligo may still be considered, but people with asthma requiring medication to keep airways open may not be eligible (confirm with trial site)
  • People who have an active infection that requires treatment with medicines taken throughout the body (such as oral or intravenous antibiotics)
  • People who have previously received certain types of immunotherapy medicines that target PD-1, PD-L1, or CTLA-4 pathways
  • People who still have side effects from a previous treatment that are above a mild level (except for hair loss)
  • People who have a history of heart attack, stroke, unstable chest pain, serious heart failure, or blood clots in a deep vein
  • People who have had major surgery, a serious injury, a bone fracture, or have an unhealed wound or ulcer within the past 4 weeks
  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People with significant liver or kidney problems
  • People with a history of misusing mind-altering substances and who are unable to stop, or people with a diagnosed mental health disorder
  • People who have taken part in another clinical drug trial within the past 4 weeks
  • People who have other health conditions that the trial doctor believes could seriously affect their safety or their ability to complete the study
  • People whom the trial doctor judges would not receive the most benefit from taking part in this study
