Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been clinically diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Parkinson's Disease (PD), Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), or you are a healthy volunteer with no such diagnosis
- You are a man or woman between the ages of 40 and 80
- You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part — or, if you are unable to sign for yourself, you have a trusted person (like a family member) who can be present to help with consent and accompany you to visits
- You are willing to consider agreeing to donate your brain after death, though this is optional and not required to participate
- Your diagnosis has been confirmed through a specialist review process (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- Women who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- People with a form of Parkinson's-like condition other than PD, PSP, or MSA
- People with a major psychiatric condition such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder (note: major depression is allowed)
- People with a significant history of alcohol or drug abuse or dependence
- People who are unable to tolerate brain/body scans, having a small tube placed in a vein or artery, or having blood drawn
- People who cannot have an MRI scan, for example due to having certain metal implants in their body
- People with PSP or MSA who have previously had a brain scan or spinal fluid test that showed signs of Alzheimer's-related protein buildup
- People with any other medical condition that a doctor feels could make participation unsafe or difficult (confirm with trial site)
