Who might be able to join this trial:

- People who are admitted to Amiens University Hospital for a planned coronary artery bypass graft surgery (a scheduled heart bypass operation) using a heart-lung bypass machine

- People who have a history of atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter (certain types of irregular heartbeat)
- People who are having heart surgery involving the heart valves or the main artery leaving the heart (the ascending aorta)
- People who require emergency or urgent heart surgery
- People who have a significant leaking of the tricuspid heart valve (greater than grade 2 severity)
- People whose heart pumping strength (left ventricular ejection fraction) is below 50%
- People who are using a mechanical device to help their heart pump blood before surgery
- People whose heart rhythm is fully controlled by an internal or external pacemaker at the time of the heart ultrasound examination
