Who might be able to join this trial:
- People between 18 and 70 years old
- People expected to live for more than 12 weeks
- People who have been diagnosed with multiple myeloma through physical checks, lab tests, pathology, and imaging scans
- People whose multiple myeloma has not responded to treatment (refractory disease)
- People whose multiple myeloma has come back after treatment (relapsed disease)
- People whose liver function test results are within an acceptable range (ALT and AST less than 3 times the normal level, and bilirubin below 2.0 mg/dl)
- People with a general health/activity score (called KPS) above 50%, meaning they are able to carry out some daily activities (confirm with trial site)
- People without serious heart, liver, kidney, or other major organ problems
- People whose myeloma came back or did not go into remission after a stem cell transplant or cell-based immune therapy
- People who are not suitable for a stem cell transplant, or who are unable to have one due to personal or medical circumstances
- People from whom blood can be collected through a vein for a process that separates certain blood cells, with no medical reasons preventing this
- People who understand the trial and are willing to sign a consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy within six months
- People with certain infectious diseases, such as HIV or active tuberculosis
- People with an active hepatitis B or hepatitis C infection
- People whose pre-screening lab results show that their immune cells do not respond well enough to the process used to prepare the treatment (confirm with trial site)
- People with abnormal vital signs (such as heart rate or blood pressure) who are unable to cooperate with assessments
- People with a mental health condition that would prevent them from cooperating with treatment or assessments
- People with a history of severe allergies, particularly to a substance called IL-2
- People who have an active widespread infection or a serious localised infection that requires treatment
- People with a severe autoimmune disease (a condition where the immune system attacks the body)
- People whom the treating doctor considers unsuitable for the trial for other reasons
