Who might be able to join this trial:
Cancer Group:
- You are between 40 and 75 years old on the day you sign up for the study
- You are able to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- You have been diagnosed with liver, bile duct, or pancreatic cancer, confirmed by a medical test
- You have not had any cancer treatments (such as surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation) before the blood sample is taken
Benign Disease Group (non-cancerous conditions):
- You are between 40 and 75 years old on the day you sign up for the study
- You are able to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- You have been diagnosed with a non-cancerous condition of the liver, bile duct, or pancreas
- You have not had a major treatment for your condition before the blood sample is taken
Healthy Group:
- You are able to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- You are able to provide a suitable blood sample for testing
- You have not had any symptoms related to cancer in the 30 days before screening
- If you have had cancer in the past, your treatment finished more than 3 years ago and the cancer has not come back
Who may not be able to join:
Cancer and Benign Disease Groups:
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have had an organ transplant, or a bone marrow or stem cell transplant from another person
- You received a blood transfusion in the 7 days before your blood sample is taken
- You have received any cancer-related treatment in the 30 days before your blood sample, for a condition other than cancer
- You have been diagnosed with any other type of cancer or multiple tumours (cancer group), or any cancer or pre-cancerous condition (benign group)
Healthy Group:
- Your blood sample is not sufficient or suitable for testing
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have had an organ transplant, or a bone marrow or stem cell transplant from another person
- You received a blood transfusion in the 30 days before your blood sample is taken
- You have taken antibiotics or other infection-fighting medication in the 14 days before your blood sample is taken
- You have received or are currently receiving cancer treatment within the last 3 years
- You have an autoimmune disease or another serious long-term health condition (confirm with trial site)
