Who might be able to join this trial:

• The patient, or their legally authorised guardian, has agreed to take part and has signed the consent form.
• The patient has been diagnosed with primary Parkinson's disease, is between 30 and 70 years old, has had the condition for more than 5 years, and may be of any gender.
• The patient's Parkinson's disease severity falls within a specific range on the Hoehn-Yahr scale (stage 3 to 4), or is below stage 3 but the patient has declined other available treatments.
• During "off" periods (times when medication is less effective), the patient's movement symptoms score above 38 on a standard assessment scale (MDS-UPDRS-III), and those scores have been consistent across two recent assessments.
• The patient has been on a stable Parkinson's medication plan for more than 3 months.
• The patient previously responded well to levodopa (a common Parkinson's medication) but has since developed significant resistance to it and experiences "wearing-off" effects (where the medication stops working before the next dose is due).
• The patient's overall health is stable, any other health conditions are well managed, and there are no medical reasons preventing general anaesthesia or the type of surgery involved in this trial.
• A brain MRI has not shown any structural problems — such as severe shrinkage of the brain or abnormal growths — that would interfere with a stem cell transplant.
• The patient has a caregiver who can provide information about the patient's condition before and after the transplant and assist the research team if needed.

Who may not be able to join:

• People diagnosed with atypical forms of Parkinson's disease, such as Parkinson's syndrome or secondary Parkinson's disease (Parkinson's caused by another condition).
• People whose Parkinson's disease involves only tremors, with no other movement symptoms.
• People with severe movement difficulties that prevent them from completing basic physical tasks.
• People with serious neurological problems caused by conditions other than Parkinson's disease.
• People with severe psychiatric symptoms or dementia.
• People who are unwilling or unable to cooperate with the study, cannot assess their own condition, and cannot complete required assessments even with assistance from a doctor.
• People who have previously had certain brain surgeries, including pallidotomy, thalamotomy, or deep brain stimulation (DBS).
• People currently being treated with apomorphine (a Parkinson's medication).
• People with blood clotting problems, or who are currently taking blood-thinning medication (confirm with trial site for specific test value thresholds).
• People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or people of any gender who are unable to use effective contraception for at least one year after the last dose of the study treatment.
• People who have taken part in another clinical trial for a drug or medical device within the past 3 months.
• People who have received certain treatments for muscle stiffness or spasticity — including botulinum toxin injections, phenol injections, baclofen injections, or similar interventional therapies — within the past 6 months.
• People with a history of seizures, or who are currently taking anti-seizure medication as a preventive measure.
• People with medical conditions that would make general anaesthesia or the surgery unsafe, such as sleep apnoea or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (a serious lung condition).
• People with other unstable or serious health conditions, including active infections, poorly controlled high blood pressure, unstable chest pain (angina), heart failure, or uncontrolled metabolic diseases.
• People with a history of alcohol or drug abuse.
• People who have taken high doses of benzodiazepines (a type of sedative or anti-anxiety medication) within the past 3 months.
• People with severe cognitive decline or severe depression, as measured by specific scoring tools (MMSE score below 26 or HAMD score above 35).
• People with a history of any cancer.
• People with certain infectious diseases, including hepatitis A, active hepatitis B, active hepatitis C, hepatitis E, HIV, or syphilis.
• People whose liver or kidney function test results fall outside acceptable ranges during the screening period (confirm with trial site for specific values).
• People identified by genetic testing as carrying gene mutations associated with Parkinson's disease.
