Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People with a reading level of 6th grade or higher, as measured by a specific reading test called the Wide Range Achievement Test
- People who are experiencing moderate or severe levels of anxiety and/or depression, as measured by two standard questionnaires (the Beck Depression Inventory-II and Beck Anxiety Inventory)
- People who are not currently engaging in self-harm and do not have active thoughts of suicide
- People who are not scheduled to be transferred or released within the next three months
- People who are willing and able to take part, including having permission and access to basic study materials such as paper and a pen or pencil
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are unable to give informed consent to participate in the study
- People who are currently engaging in self-harm or who have active thoughts of suicide
- People who are scheduled to be transferred or released within the next three months
