Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with a non-cancerous or low-risk tumour of the pancreas (such as pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours, solid pseudopapillary tumours, or cystadenomas) that has not spread to nearby blood vessels or other parts of the body
- People whose tumour is located in a specific part of the pancreas called the head, neck, or uncinate process (the lower front section of the pancreas)
- People whose surgery involves blocking two specific blood vessels — the abdominal trunk and the superior mesenteric artery — during a keyhole (laparoscopic) procedure to remove the tumour
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a highly aggressive or cancerous pancreatic tumour, or a tumour that has grown into surrounding tissue or spread to other parts of the body
- People whose tumour is located in the body or tail (the middle or left side) of the pancreas
- People whose surgery needs to be converted to a different type of operation, such as a larger keyhole procedure (laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy) or open surgery
