- You have been assessed and diagnosed with frailty (signs of physical weakness or vulnerability that come with aging) by a specialist doctor in the research team, using recognized frailty assessment tools
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had a heart attack in the last 3 months or have unstable chest pain (angina)
- You have an uncontrolled irregular heartbeat, a recent blood clot in a vein or artery, or a terminal illness
- You have had a leg fracture, arm fracture, or have been told to keep weight off your legs in the last 3 months
- You are unable to walk at all
- You are experiencing severe pain (rated 7 out of 10 or higher)
- You have a pre-existing nerve or muscle condition that causes weakness
- You are taking medication that would prevent doctors from accurately measuring how your muscles respond during tests (confirm with trial site)
- You have serious memory or thinking difficulties that would prevent you from understanding and completing the tests required
