  • People who are having a repeat open abdominal surgery (a second operation through the same abdominal opening as a previous one).
  • People with psychiatric conditions, addiction issues, or any other difficulty that would prevent them from fully understanding the consent form.
  • People who are unable to read or understand Catalan or Spanish, as those are the languages the consent form is available in.
