Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have signed an informed consent form before any trial-related procedures begin.
• People aged 18 or older.
• People who are reasonably active and able to care for themselves, with only limited physical limitations (this is measured using a standard scale called ECOG, scores 0–2).
• People whose life expectancy has been assessed by a doctor as greater than 12 weeks.

• People whose original tumour started in the left side of the large bowel (from a specific point called the splenic flexure onward).
• People whose tumour has been tested and confirmed to have normal (wild type) versions of the KRAS and NRAS genes.
• People whose blood and organ function meet specific minimum levels, including healthy enough counts for white blood cells, platelets, and red blood cells, as well as adequate kidney and liver function (confirm specific values with trial site).
• People for whom enough tumour tissue is available for genetic testing, collected no more than 24 months before joining the study.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have already received systemic treatment for their metastatic disease.
• People whose tumour has certain gene mutations (KRAS, NRAS, or BRAF V600E), unless the BRAF status is not yet known (confirm with trial site).
• People whose KRAS or NRAS gene status is unknown or unclear.
• People who currently have, or have had within the past 5 years, another type of cancer — with the exception of certain fully treated skin cancers or cervical pre-cancers.
• People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during treatment or within 6 months after treatment ends.
• People living with HIV, or who have active hepatitis B or hepatitis C.
• People whose primary bowel tumour is causing a complication that needs urgent surgery (though participation may be possible once the complication has been treated — confirm with trial site).
• People who have any other medical condition that, in the treating doctor's opinion, would prevent safe participation in the trial.
• People for whom a central venous line (a tube placed into a large vein for treatment delivery) cannot be arranged.
